Dear Families,
Our 3rd and 4th grade students will begin taking the state assessment (ATLAS) this week. We are so proud of how hard they have worked all year long—now it’s their time to shine and show what they know!
Here’s how you can help your child do their best:
✅ Make sure they get a good night’s sleep before each test day.
✅ Be sure they eat a healthy breakfast—either at home or at school.
✅ Arrive at school on time so they feel calm and ready to go.
✅ Send them with encouraging words—a little cheer goes a long way!

To inspire a love of reading, Mrs. Smith created a special AR “Pop a Cup” Prize Challenge for her students who reach their Accelerated Reader (AR) goals! 🎯📖 Students get to POP a mystery cup filled with fun surprises like gift cards, toys, and glow-in-the-dark yo-yos! 🛍️🪀
Today, Brantley Howell hit his AR goal and got to Pop A Cup — and Mrs. Smith even took time to show him how to use his new yo-yo! 🥹 That’s what teaching from the heart looks like.
Because when students KNOW they’re loved, they’ll go after every goal with confidence. And when teachers BELIEVE in them, they’ll rise higher than ever imagined. ❤️🐻

Each year, the Department of Education assigns letter grades to schools, and this year we are thrilled to announce that White County Central Elementary has earned an A grade, and White County Central High School has received a B grade from the Department of Education!
Two years ago, both of our campuses were rated a D. Today, we are proud to share that our latest grades reflect significant growth and progress. This transformation is a direct result of the dedication, resilience, and hard work of our students, educators, staff, and families. We are grateful for every effort that contributed to this achievement and remain committed to continuous improvement. Thank you to everyone who played a role in this success.
