There will be a Special School Board Meeting on Monday, March 14, 2022 at 6:00 in the board room. This meeting will be for the vetting of superintendent candidates to date.
We are looking forward to hosting our 2022-2023 Kindergarten, PreK, and HIPPY Registration. If you know a family with a child who will be 5 years of age on or before August 1st, be sure to share this information with them. Registration will be held on Thursday, March 31st from 9:00-12:00 and 1:00-3:00. Please see the attached image for the required items to bring to the registration.

The High School Chess Team placed FIRST, 5 points ahead of the 2nd place team in their Regional Tournament last Saturday. We also had two of the three MVP players for the tournament, going undefeated Allie Jones (11th grade) and Jacob Watkins (9th grade). The MVP’s will receive plaques soon. The HS Team will play in the State Chess Tournament on Saturday April 2.
The JH Chess Team placed 3rd in their Regional on Saturday! JH Chess does not have a State Tournament to compete in. We are proud of how both teams represented WCC last Saturday and looking forward to more tournaments soon!

Softball games for Monday (February 28) and Tuesday (March 1) have been canceled. Today's game against Concord has been rescheduled for Friday, March 4 @ 4:30 @ WCC.

Monday Lunch- Grilled cheese, Vegetable beef soup, Salad,Mixed fruit,Milk

Friday Lunch- Hot Dog, French Fries,Steamed Broccoli,Diced Pears, Milk

Family Mental Health Awareness- Wilbur D Mills Cooperative is hosting a Family Mental Health Night on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at 7 PM. This opportunity is available to all our families. The regional tournament at WCC will start on Saturday at 4:00pm. All of the games originally scheduled for Wednesday will now be played Saturday.
We will be taking Spring pictures in the auditorium on Thursday, March 3rd. Forms will be passed out by the yearbook staff on Monday, Feb. 28.
All elementary students will come over for pictures, and 7-12th graders will have the opportunity to come as well if they would like pictures or if they bring money.

Auditions for Tinker Bell have been moved to Tuesday, March 1. They will be held after school from 4-6 in the high school Commons.
Due to continued poor road conditions, White County Central will not be in session on Friday, February 25, 2022. This will be an AMI day for inclement weather. We are aware of the power outages in parts of the district and teachers will be flexible in regards to when those assignments will be due to them, if this was the problem in your home.
The 2A Central Regional Basketball at WCC scheduled for Thursday has been postponed until at least Friday. Stay tuned for updates.
