
Attention WCC! NEW SCHOOL START DATE -- Governor Hutchinson just announced that the start date for the 2020-2021 school year has been moved (from August 13) to the week of Aug. 24. White County Central School District will make a decision next week on our official start date and we will share that with parents/guardians/students as soon as possible.

Just to clarify- The 8x10 'Class of 2020' class picture is free!

Class of 2020 - if you want an 8x10 composite picture of your class - copies are in the high school office. Please contact Dr. Underwood before you make the trip to make sure the office is open.

Here are some 'schedule pick up' dates for WCC High School (9-12th grade)!!!


9th-12th Grade students for the 2020/2021 school year. Dr. Underwood has sent you an email with the 'Enrollment form' link on it. Please talk with your parent/guardian and then fill it out! She needs all 9-12th grade students to fill this out by July 17.

Seniors 2021!! Senior pictures are scheduled for July 28. You will receive an appointment card soon, but I am attaching a blank one to this post along with the scheduled times for the day. Here is the boys’ basketball schedule for the next two weeks:
Senior High (7-8:30 p.m.)
7th - 9th grade (3:30-5 p.m.)

As of right now, the plan is for Coach Yates to move to the area on July 17th.
If this plan proceeds, he expects to have practice Monday — Thursday from July 20th till school starts.
7th - 9th grade practice time is expected to continue from 3:30-5 p.m for the rest of the summer.
(Senior High practice time could vary)

Let's welcome Mrs. Paula Nixon to White County Central!!
Mrs. Nixon will be teaching special education for grades K-4. She has been in education for 26.5 years. She has taught special education, middle school science & social studies, and EAST(Education Accelerated by Service and Technology).
Mrs. Nixon and her husband, Danny, and have been married for 34 years. Her oldest daughter, Haley, is married to Logan Best. Our youngest daughter is MaKensie.
Message to the community from Mrs. Nixon: I am excited to become a staff member at WCCSD. My goal is to provide the tools necessary to help each student in my classroom reach their potential.

Let's welcome Mrs. Bethany Yates to White County Central!!
Mrs. Yates will be teaching 5th grade math. Mrs. Yates has been teaching Algebra 1 for the last 3 years in a different school district.
Mrs. Yates' family consists of her husband Coach Dawson Yates; her parents: Jim and Denise Engel; her sisters: Janelle and Chelsea Engel; her in-laws: Jim and Robyn Yates and her cat - Theo!
When Mrs. Yates was in college at Harding University she was a high jumper and triple jumper on the Harding University Track team!!

Let's welcome Mr. Zachary White to the White County Central School District!!
Mr. White will be teaching 6-12th grade band and guitar this year at WCC.
He is originally from a small town in Northwest Arkansas. His family consist of his Mom and Dad, Bobby and Dawn White and he is an only child.
Mr. White started and directed an annual benefit concert that has donated over $4000 in the past three years to clean water initiatives in Haiti, as well as City of Hope Outreach, which helps homeless individuals in Arkansas.

WCC would like to welcome Ms. Julia Williams to WCC High School. Ms. Williams has been teaching history for the past 3 years.
Ms. Williams' family consists of her parents and her dog named Clyde.. She loves to read and is a HUGE Kansas City Chiefs fan.
