The double header that was scheduled tonight, Monday, April 11, at Melbourne for Varsity Softball HAS BEEN CANCELED! A make-up date will be released soon!

The baseball game for today, Tuesday, April 5th has been cancelled.
A decision about today's Varsity Softball game at Cedar Ridge will be made around 1 o'clock this afternoon. We will make an announcement as soon as we know.
Due to construction in the auditorium lobby, play rehearsals will be 3:30-5:30 Tuesday and Thursday. (April 5 and April 7)

There will be a special board meeting tonight, April 4, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. in the regular board room within the middle school building. The purpose of this meeting is for vetting of superintendent applications.

Tomorrow, Friday, April 1st there is a breakfast change. K-12 will be having pancake on a stick.
The 3rd-6th grade chess team had a successful spring regional tournament on Tuesday!
Tanner McInturff received a 2nd place finish for 6th grade. Cache Pate received a 3rd place finish for 3rd grade. Lucas Morgan received an honorable mention for 5th grade. To even get to this tournament, all of these kids had to place top 3 in their grade level at our school qualifying tournament last month. So, even if they didn't come away with a trophy, they have a lot to be proud of!
Collectively, we walked away with 33 game wins, two trophies, and a ton of experience. More importantly, they were role models in behavior, sportsmanship, and grit. It was an especially good day to be a bear!
The Softball game that was scheduled to be played at HOME tonight against Sloan Hendrix WILL STILL BE PLAYED AT HOME! Come out and support your Lady Bears. Game time 4:30!
Friday, April 1st, we will be conducting scoliosis and BMI screenings for students in the following grades. Notes were sent out at the first of the week. If you object to either of these screenings, please send written documentation with your child.
Scoliosis - Please wear appropriate attire for scoliosis screenings.
6th grade females only
8th grade males and females
BMI - Kindergarten, 2nd, 4th, 6th, 8th, and 10th grades.
