If your child was issued a Chromebook last spring, please send it to school with your child on the first day. It will be used by your child at school in class. It will be sent home with your child if needed for virtual learning.
You can pick up your car tags between the hours of 7:30 am and 3:30 pm.
K-6th Grade Car Riders: If you do NOT have a car rider tag or if your car rider tag is more than 2 years old, please come see Mrs. Kelly in the Elementary office this week to get your tag. It is important that you have your tag before the first day of school!
WCC’s nurse will be accepting medication that you need her to distribute to your child during the school day by appointment on Thursday, Aug. 20, 1pm-3pm. Please email ljohnson@wccsd.k12.ar.us to schedule a time.
WCC HS Online Students (If you are taking one or more online classes - please read this.)
We have been informed of some false information that is being shared on Facebook. We would like to clarify to ease any concerns. Posts have been made in regard to what happens if your child has a fever at school. Our procedures are as follows. If your child has temp while at school, you will be called immediately to come pick up your child. The school will NOT be administering COVID testing. Thank you for trusting us during these uneasy times.
ANOTHER DRAGONFLY ANNOUNCEMENT:
There have been concerns about the information that is being asked when signing up for Dragonfly. Let me clarify what is required and what is optional.
Once you create an account, there are several red buttons that say "NEEDS UPDATE" or "GET STARTED". You are only required to enter the information under the red "GET STARTED" button. Once you click that, there will be 5 things. You are only REQUIRED to do 4 of them. Here are the REQUIRED things to complete:
1. AR Activities Assoc. Sports Medicine Fact Sheet
2. PPE History Form (can turn in physical copy to coach)
3. PPE Physical Exam (you can give physical copy to coach for them to upload or you can upload yourself)
4. AAA Participation Agreement
Once you complete these four things it will say "80% complete" but that is ok. Nothing else has to be "updated" unless you want to put some basic contact information. Birth Certificates, insurance information and other things are NOT REQUIRED by the AAA or WCC. We will notify you if anything else changes in regards to requirements. If there are any questions or concerns please contact the Athletic Direcotor, Sam Farris at the school (501) 729-0107.

This announcement is to clarify some things about signing up for Dragonfly.
When you sign up as a parent, make sure you are signing up as yourself and not your child.

The athlete is REQUIRED to have an account to participate in AAA activities. Parents are ABLE but NOT REQUIRED to have accounts. There will be a separate announcement concerning other issues.

WCC 11/12th grade students! If you are interested in taking classes at ASU Searcy in the programs listed on this flyer during this school year please contact Mrs. Hill or Dr. Underwood. The classes are free. You would have to provide your own transportation.

Attention parents/guardians:
Typical ages to receive immunizations are: kindergarten, 11 years old, 7th grade and 16 years. If you have questions or would like Mrs Leighan to check your child’s shot record, please email her at ljohnson@wccsd.k12.ar.us (WCC's school nurse).
Middle School schedule pickup AND New Student enrollment is TODAY, Aug 3 from 9-11:00 am and 1:00-3:00 pm. We will also have it Tomorrow and Thursday at the same times. 7/8th students will also receive their locker number. Reminder: wear masks indoor, keep distanced, & bring limited number of people if possible. Thanks and look forward to seeing you all!
