HIGH FIVE AWARD Awarded to Sam Farris from Tammy Parish. Here is what Mrs. Parish has to say about Mr. Farris: "I am passing the High Five Award to Mr. Sam Farris. The five words inscripted on the hand are Character, Connection, Challenge, Commitment, and Compassion. On a daily basis, Sam Farris carries out to a high degree, the definition of each word. Great principals exhibit all 5 of these words. Although this is his first year as Principal, Sam Farris is GREAT! I have been impressed with his calm demeanor, high moral standards, and his ability to build relationships among colleagues. I can only imagine how busy this first year has been for him but he has always made time to listen when I needed to be heard. He has an enormous amount of compassion and because he leads by example he continually challenges me to be a better person today than I was yesterday. I have witnessed him do the same with our students at WCC. I consider him more than a principal but also a friend. I have enjoyed watching our girls grow together in basketball, friendship, and other aspects of life. I am very grateful for the love, support, and encouragement he has shown me. Thank you Sam Farris for being GREAT in every walk of life. I proudly pass the High Five Award to Mr. Sam Farris!!" Congratulations Mr. Farris!

Grant Walker is our featured 'Class of 2020' WCC senior. This is Grant's third year at WCC. Once Grant graduates he plans to go to college and also play college baseball. The most important thing that Grant has learned while in high school is leadership skills The advice Grant gives to students in school is to do your work and homework because it really helps. Grant's favorite class is Mr. Clouse's math classes. Grant's favorite food and drink is steak and water and when he is learning at school he likes working in groups because it helps him feel connected. Grant's favorite book is 'Tears of a Tiger' by Sharon Draper. Congratulations Grant!!!
