Taryn Blanton is our featured 'Class of 2020' WCC senior. Taryn has been at WCC for 6 years. Once Taryn graduates she plans to go to college and become a physician's assistant and work at Children's hospital. The most important thing that Taryn has learned while in high school is to study for tests and that the teachers want you to succeed. The advice Taryn gives to students in school is to do your best in school and don't procrastinate. Taryn's favorite food and drink is chick fil A and Dr. Pepper.. Taryn's favorite class is Mrs. Terry's yoga class because she learned a lot and didn't have homework. Taryn's favorite way of learning is by doing 'hands on' activities because she loses focus easily. Taryn's favorite book is 'Glass' by Ellen Hopkins.

Congratulations to Mrs. Brandi Hardcastle! She is the recipient of the High Five Award. Mrs. Melissa Melton presented the award to her. This is what Mrs. Melton had to say about Mrs. Hardcastle. "I am passing the High Five Award to Brandi Hardcastle. This is our thirteenth year working together. I started out working as a paraprofessional in her kindergarten classroom, to working beside her as a teacher and now she is my literacy facilitator. I have learned a lot from her and her friendliness always makes it easy to work and collaborate with. Brandi Hardcastle is continually seeking knowledge in education in order to help the students and faculty at WCC. I am very grateful for the love, support and dedication she has shown me and WCC throughout the years." Congratulations Mrs. Hardcastle!
