The governor announced today that we will be out of school through April 17th. If you need to pick up medication (inhalers, updrafts, epipens, or daily meds), please email Leighan at ljohnson@wccsd.k12.ar.us or text me on school status.
If you are in grades 8-11 this school year please check your school email and answer the questionnaire from Mrs. Hill. She is working on your schedule and has questions for each one of you guys to answer.
WCC wants everyone to know that due to COVID-19, Governor Hutchinson officially closed school campuses through at least April 17. We will be in contact with everyone soon regarding plans to meet educational needs through the closure period. Please practice social distancing!

Titus Windle is our featured 'Class of 2020' WCC senior. Titus has been at WCC for 7 1/2 years. Once Titus graduates he plans on saving up some money and then going to college. The most important thing Titus has learned while in high school is his social skills and work ethic. The advice Titus gives to students in school is that they need to focus on their GPA (grade point average) because it is important. Titus' favorite class is shop/band because they are both interactive classes. Titus' favorite drink is Fanta drinks and his favorite food is chicken. Titus is a visual and hands on learner but enjoys silence with no one around him while he is learning also. Titus' favorite book is 'The Dead' by Charlie Higson. Congratulations Titus!!

WCC students! If you are looking for reading material,don't forget about your e-cards! These will allow you to get right in to the White County Library system to read books online. You can also access hoopla and ADLC. To get there, you will need your card number and go to the WCC website https://www.wccsd.k12.ar.us/, click on menu, click library, and then High School Library. I have put a link on there for White County Libraries. Follow that link and you will find on the home page where to click to get to hoopla. We were notified by Hardees that the Hardees locations on Race Street and at Love's truck stop are offering free sausage biscuits to school age children 18 and under from 5:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. daily until further notice. Wow! Thank you to Hardees for this wonderful service!
Landon Swindle is our featured 'Class of 2020' WCC senior. Landon has been at WCC for 11 years. Once Landon graduates he plans on getting a job. The most important thing Landon has learned while in high school is to always work hard and do your best.The advice Landon gives to students in school is that you are here for a good time - not a long time. Landon's favorite class was basketball because he always was pushed to do his best. Landon's favorite drink is water. WCC is continuing to serve breakfast 7:30-8:30 a.m. and lunch 11:00-noon throughout this week. We also are offering to deliver these meals for the remainder of the week to any student or child under the age of 18 in the home. Please call 729-3947 or 729-4292 before 10 a.m. Wednesday if you want lunch delivered.

The most important thing Maira has learned while in high school is to take everything seriously because it can impact your future. The advice Maira gives to students in school is try hard because it is worth it. Maira's favorite class is Mr. Clouse's math classes. Maira's favorite food and drink is hibachi chicken and limeade slush. Maira's favorite way of learning is when she is able to interact with other students so she can get other points of view.
